What Should Be Paid Attention To in The Construction Of Expansion Bolts?
Dec 01, 2022
The expansion bolt is a special threaded connector used to fix the air duct support, hanger and bracket on the wall, floor and column. When using, it is necessary to use an impact electric drill (hammer) to drill holes of corresponding size on the fixed body, and then install the bolts and expansion tubes into the holes. Tighten the nuts to make the bolts, expansion tubes, mounting parts and the fixed body expand into a whole. As the saying goes, good safety is no small matter. Especially in the construction process of expansion bolts, there must be many precautions. Let's take a look at them together:
1. Hole drilling depth: the relevant information describes the length of the expansion pipe, but it is found that this depth may not be enough during the specific construction, which may be related to the residual amount of debris in the hole, so it is better to be about 5mm deeper than the length of the expansion pipe. In addition, for general M6 expansion bolts, the hole diameter is Φ 10。
2. Of course, the harder the expansion bolt is, the better the ground. This also depends on the stress of the object to be fixed. The stress strength installed in concrete (C13-15) is five times that in brick.
3. A M6/8/10/12 expansion bolt correctly installed in the concrete has a greater static stress of 120/170/320/510 kg under ideal conditions.
